Now imagine this! You go to your local bar / club and you’re expecting to see and hear your DJ mix some of your favourite tunes on his Technics 1210 Decks. But who do you see? Never before have you seen Super Heroes perform like this.

Captain America and Captain Britain

Captain America and Captain Britain

Captain America and Captain Britain are battling it out, right there in front of you! Really! But when they’re finished your friendly, local neighbourhood Spider-Man starts his set, swinging from the needle of one of those decks.

Who’s on next? The Black Panther, The Ironman, or Ghost Rider? No, we have Captain America performing his own set holding the next piece of vinyl up high, ready to go.

Wolverine can’t wait to start scratching on his set, no wonder with those claws, the Human Torch bursts into flames during his set, and the Hulk just can’t master those flutters and drills and picks up his deck in anger!

Great memories of 80s Cartoons

Superheroes

The 80s had some fantastic cartoons, with some of my favourite cartoons including, Dangermouse, Battle of the Planets, Bagpuss, He-Man, Thundercats, Transformers and the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

Usually watched after school or on a saturday morning with my brothers and sister. My sister preferred, She-Ra, the Care Bears and had her own My Little Pony….

There were other characters such as Colonel K, the head of the British Secret Service and Agent 57 who was the ‘master of disguise’. And with the Baron was his right hand crow, Stiletto and his left hand crow, Leatherhead, and he also had a pet caterpiller called Nero.

Released in the early 1980’s DangerMouse was a favourite cartoon of many with up to 6 million viewers and was later aired in the US in 1984. Since then there have been all sorts of merchandise released featuring the characters, in DVD’s, books, mugs and even a video game for the Commodore 64.

There are so many more comments and facts I could add to this blog so rather than turn this into a long post i’ll write about the individual cartoons and post them later.

Please add any comments below, about your favourite cartoons, characters, or even favourite cartoon episodes?
